Enameled Series (Color Series: Dissemblance)

The Enamel Series is a continuation of an exploration into the deconstruction of the natural world. In an attempt to break flowers down into basic, elemental components, these animated rings and neckpieces are almost archetypal images of basic natural forms. The vibrant colors represent a certain image of a flower which is child-like and almost imaginary, yet is somehow familiar, like a memory from long ago. The color and the stage of the blossom is frozen in time, ageless and never fading—an attempt to render the impermanence of nature and of memory itself in a more permanent way, however fictional.
