Gold & Silver Series (Structural Series: Deconstruction)

The Gold & Silver Series comes from an exploration of the deconstruction of flower forms. In these pieces, I try to explore the minimum required to suggest natural forms, and in some cases, the minimum required to suggest jewelry itself. The forms are simple, the metals clean and straightforward. Form is evidenced by simple lines, like gestural drawings on paper. Like the pieces in the Organic Series, these pieces also reference transience and impermanence, their thin and seemingly fragile forms saying as much about what is not there, as what is.
